How to Win an Hk Prize

HK Prize is Asia’s premier high school contest, honoring academic achievements and extracurricular involvement. Participants stand a chance at monetary prizes as well as many other advantages such as being featured on an international stage with their work being displayed internationally. Participating can help build your portfolio, network with peers and increase exposure in literary circles – but be sure to take note of any rules or requirements before entering.

The Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Prize recognizes scientists whose research has made an enormous difference to society. Winners are chosen through an impartial process without sponsorship or committee influence and awarded with both monetary prizes as well as global visibility for their work. Since 2022, this award has been open to researchers worldwide and presented annually.

Ten Years won the top award at this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony with its series of vignettes depicting residents’ fears about Beijing tightening its grip over semi-autonomous Hong Kong. Filmmaker Donnie Yen won several awards including best director, best action choreography and best editing. Other films receiving prizes were cops-and-robbers thriller Raging Fire and family drama To My Nineteen Year Old Self.

China Daily garnered an impressive haul of 113 prizes at this year’s News Awards for journalism excellence, including two runner-up awards won by senior reporter Xi Tianqi for her series covering Hong Kong’s efforts to become a cultural hub. Copy Editor James Cook won second runner-up status for his innovative story on Hong Kong’s drive toward increased electric vehicle adoption.

An important part of life for any scientist is recognizing their contributions to society, and the Hong Kong Science Prize recognizes this with an annual award that honors them for this. A committee consisting of notable figures in science, social sciences and public affairs selects their winner; this year it went to Dr Martin M.L Wong from City University’s Department of Physics and Materials Science who wrote Tropical Cyclone Motion in Response to Land Surface Friction for his research paper entitled Tropical Cyclone Motion In Response To Land Surface Friction as the winner for his research paper Tropical Cyclone Motion In Response To Land Surface Friction.

The Hong Kong Students Prize is an annual competition that welcomes all secondary school students in Hong Kong to enter. Students must first be nominated by their teachers, complete an entry form online, and present it for review by a panel of experts – with an award of HK$8,000 going to the shortlisted submission that received the highest score from them; furthermore, each shortlisted submission will also be given a plaque and their school will also receive HK$20K! The competition runs until September 16th 2016.
